<p class="MsoNormal"><b>U-SPARC</b> (<span style="color:black">“Underrepresented Students Pursuing Agriculture-Related Careers”)</span> is an undergraduate research program at UC Riverside that is now in its fourth year of funding from the US Department of
Agriculture. <span style="color:black">The aim of the program is to introduce UCR students to the possibilities of agricultural, biotechnology, or plant science-related careers through research experiences and exposure to different career options. U-SPARC
fellows are connected with UCR research labs in which they perform paid research during the academic school year and summer. In addition, U-SPARC provides guidance in how to find jobs and how to achieve different career goals after completion of an undergraduate
degree.
