[IIGB_All] CNAS Celebrates Two New Members of the National Academy of Sciences

We are proud to share that UC Riverside's College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) has reached a historic milestone this year, with two of its distinguished faculty members elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS)-one of the highest honors in science.

Please join us in congratulating:


  *   Dr. Hailing Jin, Professor of Microbiology & Plant Pathology, for her groundbreaking research in plant immunity and RNA-mediated gene regulation.
  *   Dr. Mary Droser, Distinguished Professor of Geology in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, recognized for her pioneering work in paleobiology and early animal evolution.

This is an extraordinary achievement for CNAS and a testament to the world-class research and scholarly excellence at UCR. The election of two National Academy members in a single year not only elevates the national and international visibility of our institution but also inspires the next generation of scientists and scholars.
