Subject: Achievements Wall

Greetings Dear IIGB Community,
For some time, we have discussed the idea of using the entrance wall at IIGB to showcase the collective accomplishments of our institute. As a multidisciplinary hub, IIGB has played a pivotal role in facilitating knowledge exchange and sharing information with the wider academic community. With so many visitors attending seminars, workshops, and meetings in our auditorium, the entrance area presents a great opportunity to highlight our achievements and goals.
After much deliberation, we propose installing two monitors on this wall (Achievements Wall). The first monitor would highlight the achievements of our faculty, students, and postdocs, showcasing groundbreaking publications, notable grants, prestigious awards, and appointments to scientific academies. The second monitor would be dedicated to showcasing UCR's and IIGB's contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as well as our community outreach efforts. This will include engagements with public, governmental, and educational organizations in the Inland Empire and beyond.
We are now asking for your input. Please cast your vote, YES or NO, on whether to proceed with installing these monitors. You can send your response to Valerie (valerie.arce at ucr.edu<mailto:valerie.arce at ucr.edu>). Should the majority support this idea, we will reach out for further input on the specific content to be displayed and how best to proceed.
Your feedback is crucial, as this space reflects all of us. Thank you for your continued involvement and support.

Be powerful

Katie
