Hello everyone,
We extended the deadline for abstract submission until May 17th!
We are happy to invite postdoctoral, visiting scholars, and project scientists, and graduate students to participate in the annual symposium, which is organized by the RPA. We encourage all of you to attend and submit an abstract for a talk or poster presentation.
This Early Career Scientists Symposium is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at the Student Success Center (SSC) 235 on the UCR Campus in Riverside, CA. The objective of this symposium is to give postdocs (i.e., project scientists, postdocs/visiting scholars) and graduate students in STEM and Humanities the opportunity to share their work with the community and gain experience as disseminators of knowledge. The Evaluation Committee will select 8 postdoc talks (15 min talk + 5 min Q&A).
Prizes for best talk and posters will be awarded. Postdoc oral presentations will provide financial support for research in the amount of $500 for the best presentation, $300 for the second-place winner, and $200 for the third-place winner. And awards for the three top poster presentations will be of $200, $150, and $100. These awards will be transferred to the winner's department for research-related expenses, including conference travel. These awards aim to recognize and reward outstanding academic research and presentation skills.
