Using mass spectrometry-based lipidomics to gain insight into plant lipid metabolism

Abstact: Ruth Welti is the director of the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center, which runs a fee-for-service lipid profiling service. Her lab focuses on understanding plant lipid metabolism during stress responses and in seeds. She will discuss the use of lipidomics to identify the function of genes, to associate lipids and their metabolism with plant functions, and to identify novel lipids.
