Hello all,

We are writing to remind you of the two exciting workshops that we are
offering this week that are *open to all undergraduates, graduates, and
post-docs* geared around careers in the
biotechnology/agriculture industries. Please forward this announcement to
undergraduates, graduates, and post-docs who may be interested!

*"Careers in Industry" Session.**Tuesday, May 16, 4-5PM, Genomics Boardroom
1101. *This informal workshop/chat will be hosted by *Dr. Jason Rauscher *who
is an Academic Relations Manager at Corteva Agriscience
<https://www.corteva.com/>. Jason will meet and chat with students who are
interested in learning more about private-sector career opportunities in
the biotechnology/agriculture industries.

*"Coaching session: Applying for industry science jobs with a graduate
degree."* *Wednesday, May 17th, 1-2PM, Campbell Hall 104. *This workshop
will be hosted by *Dr. Saarah Kuzay* and *Elaine Martinez-Lopez *from Unfold
Bio <https://unfold.ag/> as is a part of the Botany and Plant Sciences
Symposium <https://sites.google.com/ucr.edu/bpscsymposium2023/>. This
workshop will cover topics such as: the timeline/process for applicants,
interviews (in-person and zoom), hiring negotiations, job description
decoding, and inclusive hiring.
