[IIGB_All] Updates

Greetings all;

I would like to update you on the latest events at the IIGB core facilities that might impact your research activities.


  1.  Bioinformatics

The search committee identified Brandon Le as the candidate to head the bioinformatic core.  Brandon has accepted the offer and will start in September.



  1.  Metabolomics

Amancio De Souza and Haiyan Ke have joined our metabolomic core replacing Jay and Alyssa, respectively.  Together with Anil and Manhoi, the metabolomic core is now fully functional.

FYI,  Due to the Batchelor Hall's anticipated renovations, in the next few weeks the metabolomics and proteomic core will be moved from the current location to MRB1.  Accordingly, we will have interrupted services for the duration of this move. You will be notified about the dates as soon as we are informed by the facilities.



  1.  Proteomics

As you were informed recently, Nathan is moving house and job, and as such in the next 10 days we will be advertising the proteomic position.



  1.  Genomics core facility
In light of Matt's departure, the genomic core coordinator position is approved and will be advertised this week, while Holly and Clay continue with their responsibilities.
