[IIGB_All] Metabolomics' core

Greetings,

Friday Jan 29th is Jay Kirkwood's last day at the UCR.  Please join me to wish him well in his new challenges. And to thank him for all his input and efforts toward assembly of a powerful metabolomics group and placing our core amongst the best in the nation.

I personally am indebted to Jay for his selfless engagement and devotion to the core.

I also would like to assure you that prior to his departure Jay took all the steps necessary for a smooth and flawless function of the core. This however does not mean that the core will remain without a coordinator.  As such I have taken all the required actions for finding a new and suitable core coordinator.  We are currently awaiting the Dean's office approval for a new hire.
