Rice University is inviting applications for faculty positions in the area of synthetic biology, which would start July 1, 2022. This hiring is the second phase of a multi-year effort that seeks to grow synthetic biology at Rice University.

Rice is committing significant resources to growth in synthetic biology, building upon our existing nucleus of researchers in this area, who are connected through the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Systems, Synthetic, and Physical Biology (https://sspb.rice.edu<https://sspb.rice.edu/>).
