Dear colleagues of the IAMSG,

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming online session,
"Ibero-American Music Readings: A Discussion on Latest Publications",
organized by the Ibero-American Music Study Group. The event will take
place on April 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (ET).

This session brings together a distinguished group of scholars. Louise K.
Stein, Javier Suárez-Pajares, and Walter Aaron Clark will present their
recent publications and engage in conversation with discussants Dinko
Fabris and Daniel Jordan. The program will conclude with an open
discussion, and the session will last approximately 90 minutes. The
presentations will include:

- *The Marqués, the Divas, and the Castrati. Gaspar de Haro y Guzmán and
Opera in the Early Modern Spanish Orbit* (New York: Oxford University
Press, 2024), by Louise K. Stein (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), with
comments by Dinko Fabris (Università della Basilicata, Potenza).

- *A Light in the Darkness: The Music and Life of Joaquín Rodrigo* (New
York: W. W. Norton & Co., 2024), by Javier Suárez-Pajares (Universidad
Complutense de Madrid) and Walter Aaron Clark (University of California,
Riverside), with comments by Daniel Jordan (University of Toronto).

The event is free and open to all, and we warmly encourage your
