<b>Dr. Ruchi Agarwal-Rangnath</b> (University of San Francisco)is the author of Planting the Seeds of Equity: Ethnic Studies and Social Justice in the K-2 Classroom, and the Executive Director of CARE-ED (California Alliance of Educational Researchers) and
Vice-President of the National Association of Multicultural Education, California Chapter.</p>

<b>Dr. Carolina Valdez</b> (CSU Fullerton) taught elementary in Los Angeles and holds a Ph.D in Urban Schooling from UCLA. Her research interests include critical ethnic studies pedagogy in the elementary classroom and teacher organizing. She has organized
several grassroots organizations in LA, and in 2012, helped establish the People’s Education Movement for educators of color. </p>

<b>Valerie Valdez</b> (PhD candidate, UC Santa Barbara) has worked as an elementary teacher, mentor teacher, and lead clinical faculty. Her research focuses on teacher preparation and professional development on critically conscious and culturally sustaining
pedagogy. Her goal is to help teachers foster inclusive and joyful classrooms where the foundation of instruction is students' cultures, experiences, and interests.</p>

MODERATOR: <b>Andrea Limones</b> is a Dual Language Instruction teacher in a self-contained Kindergarten classroom. She co-leads DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) staff meetings and leads a discussion group directed towards helping other educators address
issues of race and equity in the classroom.</p>

<b>Leanna Vasquez Pionke</b> and <b>Susie Wren</b> are elementary school teachers in Fullerton, California. They have presented at various conferences together, including CUE, ISTE, as well as district and site trainings in Fullerton, ABC Unified, LAUSD, and
Everett School District in Washington state. Leanna has been trained by the International Institute for Restorative Practices to help build community and understanding amongst staff and students. Susie spent two years as a Cotsen mentor at her school site,
supporting teachers as they improved their craft. They are currently working on a school-wide initiative to examine personal biases, equity, and best practices.</p>
