Ready, Set, Glow Ride!

Join us for The Health, Well-being, and Safety's 3rd Annual 5K Glow Ride on May 22nd.

A free and fun event open to all UC Riverside (UCR) students, staff, faculty, and the wider Riverside community. Bring your friends and family!

The Glow Ride is an excellent opportunity to gather as a community for physical activity and fellowship, both of which are essential for our mental health and overall well-being. This year, the Glow Ride will showcase Micromobility safety. There will be two co-occurring event routes available for attendees.

  1.  Bike/Scooters
When/Where:
UCR Hinderaker Lawn
Registration opens at 5:00 pm
Event: 6-8 pm

Who can attend?
This event is open to the wider Riverside community. UCR students, staff, and faculty can share the word with their friends and family to join.

Parking:
Parking in lot 1 will be reserved for community members attending the event. If you have an external list of community organizations that you plan to invite, feel free to contact heidy.roldan at ucr.edu<mailto:heidy.roldan at ucr.edu> to inquire about the parking link.

Free Prizes!

  *   UCR students/staff:

     *   ASUCR will distribute an exclusive hat to the first UCR students who RSVP and attend the event.

     *   UCR students/staff/faculty have an opportunity to enter a raffle for a new bike and helmet.

  *   All Attendees:

     *   Interactive games and resource fair

     *   Raffle and Prizes

     *   Photo booth

     *   Tacos and Kona Shaved Ice
Volunteer Sign-up:

  *   Set-up: 4-5 pm

  *   Registration 5-6 pm

  *   Event 6-8 pm

  *   Clean-up: 8-9 pm

Important Rules:

  *   The Glow Ride is not a race but an interactive event open for riders, runners/and walkers of all levels.

  *   No skateboards, hoverboards, unicycles, or roller skates allowed. Electric bicycles and scooters will be allowed to join the bike route with the request to stay at the UCR recommended speed limit of 8 MPH.

  *   Attendees must bring a lock for their bike or scooter; no devices will be allowed on the lawn, as it is reserved for the interactive booths and food.
