Subject: Edwin Melgar's Resignation

Dear Housing Services Team and partners,

I give a heavy sigh as I inform you that Edwin Melgar has accepted a new position with UCR Information Technology Solutions (ITS) as the Information Technology Business Analyst.  In this new role, Edwin will actually be a liaison with HDHS for projects that require ITS services.  This is a wonderful promotion for Edwin, but a significant loss to Housing Services.

For the last 8+ years, Edwin has been at the center of many major initiatives and changes that have occurred in Housing Services.  His balance of analytical and service skills first attracted our attention when we borrowed him from another department to assist with an expansive filming and photography project.  That project would eventually yield our popular 360 Virtual Tours and the graphics that continue to grace our website and various other marketing materials.  Most prominently, Edwin's name will always be synonymous with the adoption of the Star Rez housing management system.  This crowning achievement has already spurred an enormous evolution in our services and practices and will undoubtedly continue to influence Housing operations and business practices for many decades.

Edwin's last day with Housing Services will be Friday, July 23.  Please be sure to wish him well in his new position.
