<span style="margin: 0px; color: black;">This year’s call is open for any health disparities research project. All proposals will be reviewed; however, we are particularly interested in projects that might fall into one of the following relationships 1)<span> </span><b><i>wellbeing
and health inequities related to environment and climate change</i></b>, 2)<span> </span><b><i>arts (e.g., creative arts) and health</i></b>, and 3)<span> </span><b><i>wellbeing and refugee communities</i></b>. These opportunities will be supported as long
as funding is available. Each grant award may provide as much as $50,000, to be spent up to 18 months after award. We anticipate that at least three to four awards may be made. </span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; color: black;">Funding is available to support individuals or Interdisciplinary groups of researchers. The proposal must be problem-focused, relevant to the health disparities as defined by this center and it must include a community
engagement component.<span> </span> </span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; color: black;">Proposed projects may be from a single applicant (especially an emerging researcher for a mentored FIRST award, i.e., senior level postdoc or junior faculty), Continuity Collaboratory Fellowships (CCF), or a cohort of
applicants (Pilot Interdisciplinary Collaborative, or PIC awards); the contact PI must have a full-time appointment at UCR or a full-time faculty appointment. Preference will be given for interdisciplinary applications, or applications from a cohort of co-investigators
representing distinctly different disciplines. The theme of the research proposal must be problem focused, relevant to the health disparities as defined by this center and include a community engagement component. Other issues to consider include: </span></p>
