Hi HDR at UCR members, affiliates, and alumni in and outside the university,

Many of you have discussed the difficulty feeling at home or welcome in academic spaces.  Some feel a bit out of water (what are all of those secret handshakes?). Some are not feeling fully safe (are folks in academia that clueless or are do they not see the barriers and micro-aggressions?).

Whether you are already in academia as faculty, staff or as a trainee, whether you are, a community partner or a symposium attendee wondering about what goes on in academia….We would like to have an open discussion on how we can develop a workshop to meet your needs.

Specifically, to promote broad collaborative partnership across silos within academia, between ranks and outside of academia, what kind of workshop would be useful for you
