[hdr-ucr] UC Global Health Day conference: ABSTRACT SUBMISSION 12/19

Dear HDR at UCR Friends and Associates,
UC Global Health Day conference will take place in person on the gorgeous UC Santa Cruz campus on May 7 2022. The extended deadline to submit an abstract is Dec 19th 2021. The theme this year is Centering Social Justice in Community Health and students (both graduate and undergraduate) are very very strongly encouraged to apply. There are some travel grant opportunities as well and registration is only $20 for students and free for first-generation students.  They are very welcoming of interdisciplinary work and is a great venue for students who are interested in meeting collaborators in environmental exposures and community health.


Approaches may range from basic and translational global health science to community struggles for health justice, with possible topics including (but not limited to) access to medicines, agroecology, bioethics, climate crisis, community health workers, genomics, health humanities, indigenous health, mental health, migrant health, racial justice, women's health and LGBTQIA health.



Important Dates:

·         NEW Submission Deadline: December 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PT

·         Notification of Acceptance: February 7, 2022

·         Confirmation of Accepted Submissions: February 14, 2022
