[GSAUCR] Campus Board of Review

Dear Graduate Students,

The Campus Board of Review is looking for a graduate student to serve on
the board. If interested, please contact the GSA President at:

The details of the board are as follows:

*13.50 UCR Implementing Regulations (Campus Board of Review)*

Any student, faculty member or staff member may recommend a change in
campus procedures or request an interpretation by writing to the Vice
Chancellor for Student Affairs who will refer it to the Campus Board of
Review. The requester will be given the opportunity to appear before the
Board as soon as possible. The review of campus regulations shall be
conducted by the Campus Board of Review, which shall make its
recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Any change in a
recommendation from the Board to the Vice Chancellor must be returned to
and approved by the Campus Board of Review. The Chancellor shall be the
final appeal.



Composition: The Board is appointed annually by the Chancellor. The Board’s
composition shall be three undergraduates (and one alternate) recommended
by the Associated Students of UCR, one graduate student recommended by the
Graduate Student Association, one faculty member recommended by the
Academic Senate, and two staff members recommended by the Vice Chancellor
for Student Affairs. Students are ineligible to serve if they are members
of organizations under sanction, or have cases

pending before the Board.



Bylaws: Regular voting members shall include the chairperson and all other
regular members. The alternate student member shall vote only when a
regular student member is absent, and a non-voting executive secretary may
be appointed. Fifty percent of the regular membership is a quorum, which
much include at least one student and at least one staff or faculty member.
Members who are absent from three consecutive meetings of the Campus Board
of Review shall no longer be members and shall be replaced.
