Healing the Academy</a> project was created with the long-term goal of mitigating social injustice, health disparities and psychological trauma among historically marginalized and excluded communities. The project promotes transformative approaches in higher
education to empower and liberate communities through knowledge, democracy, capacity building and collective healing. Dra. Evelyn Vázquez, Ph.D., M.S. will lead the presentation followed by a networking session for graduate students. Food will be available
while supplies last. Event is co-sponsored by Chicano Student Programs, UCR Hispanic Servining Institution Committee and Grad Success.
