<p class="MsoNormal">The <b>American Educational Research Association</b> (AERA) is a national research society that “strives to advance knowledge about education, to encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and to promote the use of research to improve
education and serve the public good.” This society is open to all fields of education, so it is an ideal professional organization for all SOE graduate students.

<p class="MsoNormal">Each year, several faculty and graduate students attend the <b>
<a href="https://www.aera.net/Events-Meetings/Annual-Meeting/2024-Annual-Meeting">annual conference</a></b> to share their work and learn from their peers. This year, the conference will be held in-person
<b>April 11-14, 2024</b> in <b>Philadelphia, Pennsylvania</b>. <b><a href="https://www.aera.net/Events-Meetings/2024-Annual-Meeting/Registration-Housing-and-Travel/Registration-and-Rates">Registration is currently open</a>; early bird discount deadline is February
