<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">A decision was made last week by Graduate Council to continue with the
<b><u>temporary remote participation procedures through Fall 2022</u></b>. This decision means all members of the oral qualifying exam committee and thesis or dissertation committee can continue to participate remotely. This decision impacts the oral qualifying
 exam and final defense. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">In order to accommodate the different needs and situations of our students and faculty, exams do not have to be held in-person through Fall 2022. If a student or committee would like to hold an exam in person,
 they must follow the current campus safety guidelines. This temporary policy allows for of any of the following scenarios: all members in-person, a hybrid of in-person and remote, or all remote.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
