[Gradstudents] Employment Opportunity: Associate Instructor for Summer 2024 – due 5pm 3/26/2024

Dear SOE Graduate Students:

The SOE is now accepting applications for Summer 2024 associate-instructor positions for both Sessions A and B. Applications require a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience related to courses you are applying for consideration, CV/resume, and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations).

The application deadline for these positions is 5 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.  The department will be in touch regarding the position(s) no later than April 19, 2024.

What is an associate instructor? An associate instructor, also known as associate-in, is a registered graduate student who should be competent to work independently and without supervision to conduct the entire instruction of a lower division undergraduate course. The minimal qualifications for appointment to the title associate-in shall be possession of a master’s degree or equivalent training and at least one year of teaching experience. Assignment to conduct instruction in an upper division or graduate level course may not be made except with the approval of the Committee on Courses.

Please save the date for an instructor's workshop on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 3-5 pm via zoom. The workshop is designed to orient instructors to teaching at UCR and the syllabus guidelines.
