SOE Happy Hour

Join us for happy hour on Friday, January 12th from 4-6pm at The Barn. Food and happy hour drinks will be provided. All SOE graduate students and faculty are invited to attend. SOE Graduate Writing Cafe: A Place to Connect and Write!

Are you tired of working on your research and writing in isolation? Do you need some inspiration to help you stay motivated? Then join us at the SOE Graduate Writing Cafe!

At the writing cafe, you will have the opportunity to hear other graduate students’ research presentations, work on your writing projects, get feedback from your peers, and connect with other graduate students. You will also have the opportunity to meet a guest faculty member to learn about their research and background. Whether you are writing a thesis, dissertation, research paper, or need a place to focus, this is the place for you.

When: Thursday, January 11th from 11am - 2pm

UC Conference – January 26-27, 2024

The UC Center for Research on Special Education, Disabilities & Developmental Risk Conference (UC SPEEDR) conference will be hosted by UC Davis January 26-27, 2024 and YOU ARE INVITED! This is a graduate student-led conference ripe for gaining professional development opportunities specifically designed for graduate students in education and for making connections across education, special education, measurement, and cognitive psych researchers. If you didn't meet the deadline for the conference presentations, that's okay! We encourage you to register to attend.

You might remember the UC SPEEDR conference was hosted by UCR last year. Elissa Monteiro (emont062 at ucr.edu<mailto:emont062 at ucr.edu>) and Aya Shhub (ashhu001 at ucr.edu<mailto:ashhu001 at ucr.edu>) were conference chairs last year, they are happy to answer any and all questions you have about your interest in UC SPEEDR.
