Dear Graduate Students:
The SOE is now accepting applications for 2024-2025 academic year associate-instructor positions. Applications require a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience related to courses you are applying for consideration, CV/resume, and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations).

Required Qualifications:
* Enrolled in 12 units
* Good academic standing; making acceptable progress towards degree

* Graduate students in the School of Education who have advanced to candidacy
* Experience as a teaching assistant in the course
What is an associate instructor?
An associate instructor, also known as associate-in, is a registered graduate student who should be competent to work independently and without supervision to conduct the entire instruction of a lower division undergraduate course. The minimal qualifications for appointment to the title associate-in shall be possession of a master’s degree or equivalent training and at least one year of teaching experience. Assignment to conduct instruction in an upper division or graduate level course may be made by exception with the approval of the Committee on Courses.
