**About Grad Summit 2023:**

**Date:** November 4, 2023

**Location:** UCLA Kerckhoff Grand Salon

This year, we are focusing on four themes that are at the heart of higher education advocacy:

1. **Financing Graduate School: Challenges and Opportunities**

2. **Campus Climate for Graduate and Professional Students**

3. **Access and Disability Justice**

4. **Student Health**

These themes encompass the core challenges and opportunities in higher education today, and we are seeking passionate individuals who can contribute their expertise to the conversation.

**Why Encourage Your Students to Apply:**

**Empowerment:** Grad Summit provides a platform for students to share their insights, research, and experiences. It's an opportunity to empower the next generation of higher education professionals.

**Networking:** Students will connect with like-minded peers, faculty members, and advocates, fostering valuable relationships beyond the event, such as California’s Secretary of State Dr. Shirley Weber, who is a UCLA triple alum.

**Advocacy:** By participating, students can actively engage in advocacy and contribute to developing innovative solutions to the challenges facing higher education.

**Travel Support:** We are pleased to offer the UCGPC Grad Summit 2023 Travel Award<https://forms.gle/VprkKvQy9uoHkyjr5>, a needs-based award that can help cover travel expenses, with awards of up to $300.
