Dear SOE Graduate Students:

The SOE is now accepting applications for up to two teaching assistant positions for Winter 2024. We are seeking teaching assistant applications for EDUC 146 and EDUC 183.

Applications require a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience, CV/resume and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations). EDUC 146/ETST 146 – Educational Perspectives on Chicano with Dr. Lorena Gutierrez – one position at 50%

Course Meeting Information:

  *   Lecture: Monday and Wednesdays 12:30-1:50 pm and in-person
  *   Discussion sections: Wednesdays 9-9:50am, 10-10:50am and 11-11:50am in-Person

  *   Required qualification: Must be available to attend in-person lectures and discussion sections.
  *   Preferred qualification: Background knowledge or experience in 1) issues concerning Chicana/o/x and Latina/o/x students in K-12 schools and/or higher education and 2) understand the socio-historical contexts that shape the educational experiences of Chicana/o/x and Latina/o/x students in the United States.



EDUC 183 – Psychology in the Schools with Dr. Wes Sims – one position at 37.5%

Course Meeting Information:

  *   Lecture: Monday and Wednesday 11 am to 12:20 pm; in-person
  *   Discussion section #014 is on Mondays from 1-1:50 pm and in-person and section #015 is on Tuesdays from 11-11:50 am and in-person.
  *   Required qualification: Must be available to attend in-person lectures and discussion sections.
