Please find the attached flyer with more information about this opportunity which is geared towards graduate student that use statistics and programming (in R) in their research.

There is no cost to students or departments this summer as GradSuccess<https://graduate.ucr.edu/gradsuccess> and GradQuant<https://gradquant.ucr.edu/> provide QuantCamp<https://gradquant.ucr.edu/programs/statsbootcamp> through temporary funding provided by Grad Division<https://graduate.ucr.edu/>.

The Institute for Citizens & Scholars, formerly the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, has opened its 2024 Fellowship applications. Fellowship funding is available for Ph.D. candidates completing dissertations and for junior faculty progressing toward tenure. Below you’ll find more information about the Fellowship opportunities available. Please consider recommending these programs to your Ph.D. candidates and junior faculty.


 

For doctoral candidates completing dissertations:

The Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships  <http://pull.xmr3.com/p/752-88FC/229127335/74374ea8-aa41-43d4-b8e4-e7a6ae10d31f.html>

Newcombe Fellows are late-stage Ph.D. students studying how ethical and religious values shape society, including political decisions, public life, culture, history, literature, and other areas. Eligible proposals have religious or ethical values as a central concern, and come from fields within the humanities and social sciences. Ph.D. candidates who will be in the final year of dissertation writing during the 2024-2025 academic year may apply. This award is funded by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation.

Award: $31,000
Deadline: November 15, 2023

For junior faculty:

The Career Enhancement Fellowships <http://pull.xmr3.com/p/752-812A/229095454/8256e69e-9045-471f-b3f5-0f34a8209e34.html>

The Career Enhancement Fellowships support faculty pre-midterm review who are outstanding tenure-track junior faculty committed to campus diversity and innovative research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Through the program, Fellows build a diverse academic community and system of support as they pursue careers as university faculty and administrators. This award is funded by the Mellon Foundation.

Award: $35,000
Deadline: October 20, 2023

The Mellon Emerging Faculty Leaders Award<http://pull.xmr3.com/p/752-B3A8/229095422/10fc6e17-ba56-4dd8-9d99-97573377eedc.html>

The MEFL Awards tenure-track junior faculty post-midterm review whose research focuses on contemporary American history, politics, culture, and society and who are building inclusive campus communities through their teaching, scholarship, and service. This award is funded by the Mellon Foundation.

Award: $20,000
Deadline: December 1, 2023

 

In addition to funding for their work, selected Fellows join the larger network of C&S Fellows. These 27,000 Fellows have an impressive collective record of scholarship, teaching, service, and public influence.
