[Gradstudents] Employment Opportunity: Reader Position Spring 2022

Dear SOE Graduate Students:

The SOE is now accepting applications for one reader position for Spring 2022.

Application requires a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience, CV/resume and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations). The application deadline for this position is 12 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are to grade assignments and exams as directed by the course instructor. Attendance in the course itself is not required. The hourly pay rate for graduate students is $17.26.

This opportunity is available to interested M.Ed., M.A. and Ph.D. students who:

*         Are making adequate progress toward completion of their degree

*         Have a cumulative grade average of 3.0 or above

*         Have received at least a "B" in a course similar to the course in question and/or

*         Have other academic or professional expertise in the subject matter

Cathy Lussier
Explores learning options during the academic year and summers. Discusses the significance of on- and off-campus research and community engagement opportunities. Continues discussions of student success strategies, building community, and the structured opportunities to receive support and consultation with advisors.
Experience with using elearn/Canvas to provide feedback on assignments and enter grades.
Up to 5 hours per week; Start date and final appointment percentage is subject to when the appointment is confirmed and course enrollment numbers.
