[Gradstudents] Summer Events and Opportunities in GradSuccess

Dear SOE Graduate Students,

Please find the information below and attached regarding upcoming GradSuccess events for summer 2022.

Over the summer, GradSuccess will:

  *   Offer stats and programming consultations in GradQuant and writing consultations in any field, at any stage in the Graduate Writing Center (GWC). The schedules<https://ucr.mywconline.com> are open now and appointments begin on July 11th (GWC) and July 14th (GradQuant).
  *   Offer a range of wellness and community<https://gsrc.ucr.edu/community>-building programs, including weekly Wednesday 3pm coffee socials (July 13-August 31 in the shade at Speith/Life Sciences Courtyards); the Stress Relief Fair in the same location 4:30-6:30pm on Tuesday, August 2nd; and an online Virtual Art Night drawing class on Tuesday, August 16th 6-8pm (families welcome!)
  *   Offer workshops<https://gradquant.ucr.edu/programs/workshops/summer-2022> in GradQuant (flyer forthcoming) on LaTeX, handling missing data, and machine learning for beginners
Also, there's still a few weeks left to apply to be a mentor<https://gradmentors.ucr.edu/mentor-application> in the Graduate Student Mentorship Program (applications due July 8th) and all first-time TAs this summer or fall are reminded to sign up for the mandatory Graduate Division New TA Orientation<https://tadp.ucr.edu/ta-training/orientation>.
