Please find the attached flyers and descriptions outlined below of upcoming events and opportunities for Fall 2021.

Attached flyers:

  *   The Graduate Writing Center hiring deadline has been extended to this coming Monday (Sept. 27th)! If you have a background in teaching writing and are eligible for a 10% (4/hr per week) appointment during the academic year, please consider applying for a consultant position: https://gwc.ucr.edu/graduate-writing-center-part-time-consultant.
  *   GradQuant Drop In Hours return this Fall on Mondays and Wednesdays! Get help with stats and programming issues at https://gradquant.ucr.edu/programs/dropinhours.
  *   The Grad Student Resource Center is combining the best of both worlds this quarter with in-person coffee socials in the Life Sciences Courtyard (free coffee!) and online game and art nights: https://gsrc.ucr.edu/community
  *   The TA Development Program has a great slate of online workshops coming up to help TAs improve their teaching, including sessions on best practices for hybrid classes (in partnership with XCITE) and time management in grading (https://tadp.ucr.edu/resources/workshops)
  *   And finally, the Graduate Writing Center also has workshops this Fall covering fellowship writing strategies, graduate level argumentation, and editing your own work (https://gwc.ucr.edu/programs/workshops). Their consultations schedule is now open for students who'd like some help finishing the NSF GRFP or other fellowships with upcoming due dates - https://ucr.mywconline.com.

The UCR Library has scheduled online workshops & events for the 2021 Fall quarter.
All events will be held virtually via Zoom.
