[Gradstudents] Upcoming GradSuccess Events and Opportunities

Dear SOE graduate students:

Attached you’ll find flyers for upcoming events and opportunities in GradSuccess as well as the description for each below.

The attached flyers include:

  *   Two upcoming TA Development Program online workshops - "Becoming an Approachable Instructor" on Wednesday, November 10th at 1pm and "Mind Mapping as a Teaching Tool" on Monday, November 15th at 2pm (register at https://tadp.ucr.edu/resources/workshops)
  *   A workshop on "Adapting to Campus Return" in partnership with the WELL at 10am on Wednesday November 10th on Zoom (https://gsrc.ucr.edu/workshops)
  *   A Grad Student Parents' Open Forum, which will take place on Tuesday, November 16th at 10am on Zoom (https://gsrc.ucr.edu/workshops)
  *   A Fulbright Info Session for the US Student Program, which funds overseas travel for research, on Tuesday, November 16th at 11am. The first hour will be a Q&A with the Fulbright organization, and then students will be put in breakout rooms by campus to talk one-on-one with their Fulbright Program Advisors.   *   Every Wednesday from 1-3pm, drop into the Digital Graduate Writers' Room on Zoom to re-commit to your writing with the help of our Graduate Writing Center Lead Consultant Shaafi Farooqi (https://gwc.ucr.edu/programs/dissertation-support/occasions).
  *   Finally, please take our survey<https://tinyurl.com/trfk89zj>! GradSuccess would like to know more about how graduate students prefer to participate in our events and receive programs and services such as consultations and workshops - online, in person, or a mix of both?  Students who complete the survey will be entered to win one of eight $25 Amazon gift cards.
Also, just a reminder that the applicatin to participate in the Winter/Spring 2022 cohort of the University Teaching Certificate<https://tadp.ucr.edu/university-teaching-certificate> program is open until 9am on November 29th, and the applications for the Liebmann Fellowship<https://gsrc.ucr.edu/liebmann-fellowship> are also open until Thursday, December 2nd.
