Dear GSOE Graduate Students:
The GSOE is now accepting applications for one reader position for Summer 2021.
Applications require a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience, CV/resume and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations). The application deadline for this position is 5 pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are to grade assignments and exams as directed by the course instructor. Attendance in the course itself is not required. The hourly pay rate for graduate students is $17.26.

This opportunity is available to interested M.Ed., M.A. and Ph.D. students who:


*         Are making adequate progress toward completion of their degree

*         Have a cumulative grade average of 3.0 or above

*         Have received at least a "B" in a course similar to the course in question and/or

*         Have other academic or professional expertise in the subject matter

Principles of Healthful Living
Dr. Rondy Yu
Introduction to personal, family, and community health. Discusses the attitudes and behaviors associated with healthful living and the use of health-related scientific information. Explores the effects of alcohol, dangerous drugs, narcotics, degenerative and infectious diseases, and tobacco on the human body and the community resources available to assist in their treatment.

Approximately 9 to 18 hours per week or 22% to 44% appointment; Final appointment percentage is subject to course enrollment numbers.

Graduate students are NOT eligible for this position if they currently have appointments as a GSR, TA, Reader or staff anywhere on a UC campus that totals 100% for Summer Session A 2021.
Please also note that Summer 2021 instruction will primarily be offered remotely per the UCR Campus Return website at https://campusreturn.ucr.edu/.
