Please join UC Center Sacramento remotely for this exciting online talk “Loosely Coupled Inequality in Education: Supporting At-Promise Students Through an Equity and Justice Framework.”

Join UC Center Sacramento remotely on Wednesday, February 10th from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm for a talk with Dr. Victor Rios, Associate Dean of Social Sciences and Professor of Sociology at UC Santa Barbara and Mr. Trevor Auldridge Reveles, PhD student in sociology at UC Santa Barbara, on “Loosely Coupled Inequality in Education: Supporting At-Promise Students Through an Equity and Justice Framework.” In this presentation, Dr. Rios and Mr. Auldridge Reveles will discuss the effects of Project GRIT (Generating Resiliency and Inspiring Transformation), a six-week intervention program that worked with a group of thirty-nine Black and Latinx high school pushouts, students who were encouraged to leave school, in a school district in Southern California.
