[Geospatial] Geospatial/GIS meetup

Hello everyone,

Our next Geospatial/GIS meetup will be on Tuesday, August 1, from 12:00-12:50 pm.

The meetup will be held in Rivera Library, Room 140 and on Zoom.
(To find Rivera 140: turn right after entering Rivera Library. Keep walking until you pass the elevators. Room 140 is on the corner of the hallway you'll see to your left.)
After announcements, there will be two (2) sections to this meetup:

  *   A review of takeaways from the Esri User Conference (July 10-14)
     *   I'll share the broadly applicable things I learned; anyone else who attended is welcome to share takeaways at the meetup and/or in this document<https://docs.google.com/document/d/10RrQVb5a4GgDs-dB71R3uQecpqHMacq-yXP8-NSfhJ8/edit?usp=sharing>.
  *   The opportunity to learn a little about aerial photo interpretation techniques.
     *   I'll be giving an Introduction to Aerial Photo Interpretation<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/introduction-to-aerial-photo-interpretation-tickets-676050614587?aff=ebdssbeac> workshop in late August, and would like to give a few of my examples a test run. Can you figure out what we are looking at? Where would you draw the boundary around a feature? Are the examples too challenging or just right?
        *   We'll also be testing how best to use the annotation feature in Zoom.
This meetup will be recorded.
Watch for a reminder email the day before the meetup; it will contain the Zoom information.
