Here are two items that may be of interest.


1)      The Eventbrite<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/geospatialgis-meetups-tickets-607860797007> for the Geospatial/GIS Meetups for Spring 2023 is now available for anyone who prefers to register for meetups in this way.


2)      Employment opportunity: the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) is seeking applicants for a GIS Research Analyst with the Institute for Applied Economics.
LAEDC is a non-profit that seeks to build a more equitable, prosperous economy for all people in the Los Angeles region. The job tasks are a mix of geospatial, demographic, and economic research to aid in those efforts and pays well for an entry-level research position. Undergraduate, graduate, and former UCR students with an interest in a role that combines GIS and economic research are encouraged to apply.
