3-25-21 Urgent Electrical Shutdown Notification

Please be advised this urgent electrical shutdown will impact various buildings today from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Please read below for exact details.

PURPOSE

It was just discovered a 12,000-volt conductor requires emergency repairs to prevent a major loss of power to the campus. As a result, it is necessary to perform an urgent electrical repair to avoid imminent failure and rebalance electrical power across major electrical circuits.

It is necessary to perform emergency repairs today, March 25th from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm.  The impact of this work will be one momentary power interruptions. Please see details below.


IMPACT

The following buildings will experience one momentary power interruption lasting a few minutes in time at around 10:00 a.m. as power is transferred to a separate circuit to make this urgent repair.

Arts Buildings
Sproul Hall
Hinderaker Hall
Track and Field Stadium
Humanities & Social Sciences
Veitch Student Center (Counseling & Health Center)
Physics Building
Watkins Hall

The following buildings will experience one momentary power interruption lasting a few minutes in time before 2:30 p.m. as power is transferred to a separate circuit to make this urgent repair.
