Final Reminder: Planned Multiple Building Power Interruptions for Saturday 3/27 & Sunday 3/28/21
Please be advised a planned power project will impact various buildings on Saturday 3/27 and Sunday 3/28. Please read below for exact details.

PURPOSE:
The campus continues to move forward with an extensive upgrade to our electrical infrastructure, creating more reliability, reducing unplanned outages, as well as providing flexibility for future growth. This service interruption (details below) allows the campus to continue with balancing electrical power across major electrical switches, support the large-scale cabling upgrade underneath the highway for more secure campus connections with the city, eliminate primary power infrastructure immediately adjacent to the freeway, and allow us to have redundancy of campus electrical support in the near future.

It will be necessary to perform an electrical infrastructure upgrade on Saturday, March 27th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday, March 28th from 7:00 am - 11:00 am.

Although performing electrical work over a 3-day campus holiday weekend is not ideal, the dates of Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28, 2021 were selected to avoid the Easter Holiday weekend and still keep the project moving forward. Additionally, this timing addresses the scope and safety considerations required during a time when power usage is at its lowest and campus teaching and business operations are closed. Please review the details of the planned interruptions below:
