Please see below for an invitation from Dr. Michelle Raheja:

On behalf of the Department of English Colloquium Committee and the
Graduate Students in English Association (GSEA), you and your students are
invited to attend two alt-ac (alternative-academic/alternative to academia)
career workshops for MAs and PhDs. The workshops will take place on
Wednesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 25 from 11am-12:30pm on Zoom.

The workshops will include speakers from different professions (both
workshops will feature a different lineup of presenters) who will provide
both personal and professional advice to those considering non-tenure track
careers in academia and/or careers in the non-profit or industry sectors.
The workshops are free and open to undergraduate and graduate students,
faculty, and staff.

The May 18 workshop panelists are: Sandy Enriquez (UCR Special
Collections), Katina Rogers (author of *Putting the Humanities PhD to Work:
Thriving in and beyond the Classroom, *Duke University Press, 2020), and
Dane Barca (Deputy Attorney General for the State of California and UCR
Department of English Ph.D.)

The event flyer is attached.
