in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at NC State University is dedicated to providing certified, pathogen-tested plant material for sweetpotatoes, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and muscadine grapes. As
part of the National Clean Plant Network (NCPN), we play a key role in supporting certified seed growers, nurseries, and stakeholders by delivering clean planting stock and maintaining a repository of true-to-type, virus-tested tissue culture material. In
this role, the incumbent will manage greenhouse operations for multiple projects, primarily focused on sweetpotatoes, with additional work on berries and muscadine grapes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program that supports both
local and national agricultural efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health and productivity of our plants while optimizing greenhouse practices. https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/210061

The Crop and Soil Sciences Department conducts cutting-edge research to improve food security and enhance agricultural systems. We also search for new approaches to protect soil and water resources from degradation associated with agricultural
and urban land uses. Our research is conducted in well-equipped labs, greenhouses and the NC State Phytotron for controlled environment work. Additionally, we have access to an excellent field station system, comprising 18 stations, with a variety of environments
and soils ranging from the mountains to the coastal plains and blacklands of Eastern North Carolina.
Crop and Soil Sciences at NC State University is a department that encompasses research, extension and teaching. We develop future leaders in crop, soil and environmental sciences; improve crop plants and products; devise effective and sustainable crop production
systems; develop effective and sustainable soil management techniques in agricultural and urban settings; and disseminate crop, soil and environmental science knowledge for the benefit of users and producers of food, feed, turfgrass, biofuels and fiber in
North Carolina, the nation and the world. To apply
