<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt">The University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) is expanding extension services for small to medium scale family farms, diversified farming systems, and historically underserved farmers.
This program will build on UC Cooperative Extension services currently offered by UC ANR Small Farms Advisors, assisting farmers through individual farm visits and technical assistance, training and educational materials offered in multiple languages, research
on specialty crops and diversified farming systems, improving access to markets and financial assistance, and assisting farmers with regulatory compliance. Efforts will support unique, small-acreage crops such as subtropical fruits and culturally important
vegetables and herbs, sustainable and organic production systems, and alternative marketing efforts such as farmers markets, value-added products, and community-supported agriculture.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt">UC ANR is hiring two Small Farms Lead Community Educators, one in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and one in San Diego County, who will join a team of academics and staff providing extension services
to small-scale farms and conducting outreach to expand these services in seven multi-county regions throughout California. The Lead Community Educators will work closely with other small farms staff within their counties, as well as statewide, to increase
farmer access to training, resources, and research-based information, including leading content development of extension materials, with the goal of sustaining the economic and environmental viability of small-scale farms in California. Candidates with bilingual
proficiency in Spanish and/or Korean are encouraged to apply.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
