Hello everyone!

The *Gómez-Pompa Symposium* is coming up on *Wednesday, May 13th* in the
UCR Genomics Auditorium. This year's event is held in memory of Dr. Arturo
Gómez-Pompa, with the theme "Native Knowledge and Molecular Innovation in
Domestication."

We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and would love to see you there.

Symposium schedule
9:30 - 10:50 AM     Poster Session & Morning Coffee
11:00 - 11:50 AM    Invited Talk: Exequiel Ezcurra
12:00 - 12:50 PM   Lunch
1:00 - 2:30 PM       Early Career Short Talks
2:30 - 3:20 PM       Invited Talks: Edith Allen & Michael Allen
3:30 - 4:20 PM       Gómez-Pompa Keynote Lecture: Rodolfo Dirzo
4:30 - 6:30 PM       Symposium Dinner

*We still have openings for posters*, submissions are welcome from across
all areas of botany ecology, and plant sciences, *even if your work doesn't
fit the theme perfectly*. There will be gift card prizes for best posters.

Poster registration closes May 8th, so don't wait!* Priority will be given
to earlier submissions. *All short talk positions have been filled.

*For those who wish to attend but are not near UCR campus we are
additionally providing an online zoom option to view the symposium*. The
zoom call will open at 10:45am and cover the speakers for this event in the
Genomics auditorium. If you wish to participate via zoom please register

link and *select
the online participation option* for the question "I will attend the
symposium in its entirety". *Please register by May 12th to ensure you are
on the email list for the zoom invitation.* A zoom invitation link will be

of the event.
