Also this event, would anyone like to organize and lead? They are
especially looking for pollinator-themed opportunities. If so, please let
us know by Wednesday so we can put you in contact with the Program
Coordinator.

Good afternoon,
I hope your academic year is going well. I’m writing to follow up and see
if there may be any field trip opportunities for our Junior Master Gardener
students to visit your Entomology Department. We would love to provide our
students with the opportunity to learn more about your department and
explore the career pathways available in this field. Please also let me
know if an outreach day might be a preferable option.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response!
Best,

Hi,

Thank you again for sharing!

The summer JMG horticulture program typically starts in June and ends in
August. It is an 8-week certification course for two age groups (ages 4-13)
, the program is held four days a week, usually Monday-Thursday from 9:00
AM- 12:00 PM.

If possible, we would be interested in having the UCR entomology outreach
team visit us during the program as we have activities and lesson plans
structured around pollinator insects.

Please let me know what you think.

Best,
