All,
Watch the power bumps and use red (not orange) plugs if you have them.
Theoretically power will be off no more than 2 hours so ultracolds should
be ok.  But based on past experiences, consider unplugging your ultracolds
during the 2 hour black out and don't plug them back in until power is
restored.

Saturday, July 12 from 5:00 am to 7:00 am — Temporary electrical outage
lasting anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Saturday, July 12 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm — Power will be restored, but the
contractor will continue the installation until 2:00 PM.

*WHAT TO EXPECT*

Between 5:00 – 7:00 am, each impacted building listed above will experience
an electrical outage lasting approximately 15 minutes.

As always, it is recommended that any equipment using emergency power be
plugged into a red outlet, such as -80 freezers, spectrometers, and air
compressors. All at-risk equipment should be plugged into surge protectors.

Please reach out to Facilities Services for assistance with critical
equipment needs.
