Description
The Department of Biology at Baylor University is seeking a full-time
Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Ecology with an anticipated start date
in August 2026. We encourage applicants from any ecological subdiscipline.
We are particularly interested in candidates who will generate new insights
into community/ecosystem ecology using state-of-the-art computational
approaches such as machine learning, process-based, or statistical
models. The position includes advising graduate students in the Ecology,
Evolution and Organismal Biology Graduate Program and teaching both
graduate and undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will be able
to develop and maintain an externally funded research program. The position
offers the opportunity to collaborate with faculty across existing
strengths in the Department of Biology that include Aquatic Ecology, Vector

Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in Biology, Ecology, or a related field, and
post-doctoral experience is required.
- Sustained record of research accomplishment is preferred.
- Demonstrated potential for success generating and maintaining
extramural funding is preferred.
- Successful applicants must be interested in teaching undergraduate and
graduate students, providing research mentorship, and contributing to our
doctoral programs.
