*Penn State Extension is hiring a Vector-borne Disease Extension Program
Specialist* to lead educational programs, surveillance efforts, and
management strategies to address vector-borne diseases in Pennsylvania. The
position focuses on public and animal health and community engagement to
promote awareness and best practices in vector management.

*Key Responsibilities:*

   - *Surveillance & Assessment:* Develop statewide surveillance and
   consulting programs. Create educational materials and evaluate program
   impact.


   - *Education & Outreach:* Design and deliver science-based programs
   through workshops, digital resources, and community engagement.


   - *Applied Research:* Lead and support research on vector surveillance
   and disease management. Pursue funding and share findings.


   - *Collaboration:* Build partnerships with communities, agencies, and
   professionals to support outreach and align efforts.
