*WHAT TO EXPECT*

Throughout the day there will be momentary electrical outages, lasting less
than a second, when the electrical power source is being switched.

If you have sensitive research equipment or systems you know can be
impacted by power interruption and you have not connected them to
uninterrupted power devices, such as UPS and surge protectors, please plan
to disconnect and turn off the equipment for the duration of the shutdown
to avoid any damage. Additional information on how to power down your
equipment may be found from our partner at EH&S:
https://ehs.ucr.edu/laboratory/utilities. It is recommended that any
equipment using emergency power be plugged into a red, e-power outlet, such
as -80 freezers, spectrometers, and air compressors.

*PURPOSE* Install a new 12kv switch.
