Hello, Friends & Colleagues —

I am writing to let you know about an upcoming advanced research training
course at Marine Biological Labs, "Molecular and Cell Biology of Symbiosis”
which will be offered during summer 2025 (late-July to late-August). This
is an awesome (and all costs covered) opportunity well suited to graduate
students and postdocs (and even new faculty who are looking to transition
fields). The link to apply is live (closes April 14), and you can learn
more here
https://www.mbl.edu/education/advanced-research-training-courses/course-offerings/molecular-and-cell-biology-symbiosis

This is a 4-week, hands-on, research-based course at the Marine Biological
Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA, where each week is devoted to a different
host (e.g., insects, plants, etc). The 2023 schedule is still posted and
gives you a feel for the course and the types of experiments, training,
discussion, etc that are involved. This will be my second year teaching a
week of insect symbiosis research — it is great fun for all. Course
participants live in Woods Hole for the month (again, room and board are
covered!) and get to do a deep dive into symbiosis research with some great
scientists.

Please share with your labs/networks and encourage folks to apply! Feel
free to reach out with any questions.

Cheers,
Amelia
