[Entm-researchstaff] Entm Admin Office Updates

Good Afternoon!

I’d like to take a moment of your time to congratulate and welcome @Angel T White<mailto:angel.white at ucr.edu> to the Entm Admin unit as the new Travel/Chairs Assistant.   In addition, for those unaware, Krista will be going on maternity leave soon.  Her last day in the office will be this Thursday, April 18th!   We have hired a temporary employee, @Kaitlyn C Banda<mailto:kaitlyn.banda at ucr.edu>, to assist while Krista is off bonding with her new bundle of joy!

Fun Facts about Ms. Angel:

Over the past 13 years, Angel has been working for the County of Riverside.  The last decade she was an Executive Assistant to two C-Level executives and handling all the travel and training for approx 400 staff.  She also had purchasing functions and assisted in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during COVID to ensure food and shelter for COVID positive homeless were provided. Outside of work, Ms. Angel cherishes moments with her husband of 7 years and their teenage daughters, ages 15 and 16.  They love golfing, watching movies and lately enjoy some quality family time playing Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch.
We’ve opted to refer to her as Ms. Angel to avoid confusion of our Research Administrator, Angel Escobar! 😊


Fun Facts about Kaitlyn Banda:

Kaitlyn graduated from HS in 2022 and has been attending Riverside City College to complete her GE while working part-time in retail.  She comes from a large family and has 7 siblings ranging from the ages of 24 to 3 years old.  She enjoys spending time with her family, camping and baking. Kaitlyn has an interest business administrative and is hopes to find a permanent position at UCR.


  *   Ms. Angel will be in person 5 days a week for training and then will transition to a hybrid schedule in early May.
  *   Kaitlyn will be in person to cover the front desk Mon – Thurs thru June 30th.

When time permits, please stop by the admin office for a quick hello and introduce yourself.
