Applications until December 6*

Greetings Program Leaders,

The NCI’s iCURE Program is currently accepting applications through
December 6 for research experiences that will begin in the fall 2024. iCURE
supports postbacs (including post-masters individuals), graduate students,
and postdoc fellows from diverse backgrounds to conduct mentored research
at one of the NCI campuses in Bethesda, Rockville, or Frederick, Maryland.
Scholars can work with investigators within the Center for Cancer Research
<https://ccr.cancer.gov/research>, Center for Global Health
<https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/cgh>, Division of
Epidemiology and Genetics <https://dceg.cancer.gov/research>, or Division
of Cancer Control and Population Sciences
<https://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/>. NCI values diversity and particularly
encourages applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds,
including those from groups underrepresented in the cancer research
workforce, for example those from the groups noted in the Notice of NIH’s
Interest in Diversity (NOT-OD-20-031
<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-20-031.html>). We
encourage applicants to check out the website
<https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/crchd/diversity-training/icure>
for details on how to apply or reach out to the team with questions or to
chat at iCURE at nih.gov.

Please help disseminate to your trainees and mentees who may be interested
in the program. If you have any questions yourself or have a group you’d
like the iCURE team to talk to – please let me know, always happy to chat
more with others!

Regards,

Jessica
