Hi everyone,

My lab and I will be hosting this week's EEOB Departmental Seminar Speaker, Dr. Akira Terui from UNC-Greensboro. Akira is an assistant professor with interests in community ecology, biogeography, dispersal, freshwater science, and all things fish. He is a noteworthy up-and-comer in the freshwater ecology and conservation world with recent publications in PNAS and Royal Society B among others.

I have mainly slotted meeting times for Thursday, but there are some openings on Wed. and Fri. Also, I know this overlaps with our Evol Genomics search and most of us are probably seminar and meeting'd out, so I apologize for that. This conflict ended up being pretty unavoidable. However, given that Akira is a relatively new assistant professor, I would appreciate it if we could still manage to give him a good audience.
