All,
We are nearing the time when both the storage facility and the chamber
facility/coldroom are going to be torn down. I need your attention and
action on some of this stuff.

*Storage facility*
For those of you who have space up there, please go up and figure out what
you really need to keep. Stuff you do not need, please find a home for it
or dump it. They are going to come in and move our stuff to
god-knows-where. Therefore it is critical you have your items neatly
stored, boxed if possible, and labeled if possible. You can only imagine
how chaotic this is going to be, so let's try and make it a little less
crazy. Organize now and avoid losing stuff in the future. Please take
care of this in the next couple of weeks. I suggest early morning to avoid
the oven that the building becomes.

*Chamber Facility*
I was up there this morning and currently none of the incubators, nor the
Conviron, are in use. I will be moving 6-7 of them down to available space
in the Entomology building. This will be temporary as all incubators will
be going to the new facility once it is built. They are not going to build
the new one first; everything is happening at once. That leaves 4-5
chambers and the Conviron growth chamber to store. *I NEED TO HEAR right
away, if there is a need for those 4-5 (unmoved) incubators and the
conviron between now and July 1, 2023 (could be earlier, I hope). *If not,
I will then inform PD&C that we only need to store them and not operate
them while the new facility is built. I need to know your response by June
30. I will interpret silence as you do not need incubator space between
now and the end of June 2023. If you do, some of the incubators
temporarily stored in the main building will be available. I have no
solution for the washing machine. We may have to go without until PD&C
come up with a solution.

*Cold Room*
Supposedly PD&C will be providing adequate cold room space. Since I do not
trust them as far as I can throw Bomotti, I suggest you pull everything you
might be concerned about out of the cold room. As far as I can tell, this
includes Serguei, Perring, Hoddle, Rankin, but there is stuff up there that
is labelled so please check. Again, please take care of this in the next
couple of weeks. There is a small amount of space available in the cold
rooms in the main building. Share. Hopefully, the new facility will be
constructed prior to the end of June 2023.
